My name is Dan Reich. I'm an entrepreneur in NYC with a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

I'm the Co-Founder and CEO of Troops, a venture-backed business that is building artificial intelligence for work. I am also the Co-Founder and President of TULA, a private equity backed health and beauty business that has developed the world's first line of probiotic skincare products.

Before that, I was a Co-Founder of Spinback (acquired by Buddy Media in May 2011, then acquired by Salesforce in June 2012).

On the side, I volunteer as a member of National Ski Patrol. In between I occasionally write words (see Forbes), crank tunes, and every now and again, hit up the globe for some traveling.

Mine was my grandfather. He was a Holocaust survivor and Polish immigrant. He moved w his wife to NJ from Germany after the war in 1952. He built a chicken farm selling eggs, driving 2 hours from NJ to NYC, each way. He later "pivoted" to real estate development. All for family.

I’ll go first - mine was my grandfather. He was a holocaust survivor and Hungarian immigrant. He moved him & his family to Montreal in 1956. He started selling eggs at a farmers market and did that for the rest of his life as a means of survival, to provide for his family.

“The basic idea is not to create something new and different, but to manipulate what’s already in the mind, to retie the connections that already exist.”

E.g. this is how we came up with the term “Custom Indexing”
